2023 Wendling Vineyard Pinot Noir
95 – Vinous | The 2023 Pinot Noir Wendling Vineyard is an excellent wine off this lauded site. Wendling muscle and intensity are on full display. Shades of graphite, crushed chalk, red raspberry and iodine flesh out with focus and power, but there’s a sense of effortlessness here that is just so beguiling. Though cellaring is certainly advisable, it wouldn’t be a crime to open a bottle today. Very impressive stuff.
